Mammoth North Solar project to begin commercial operations this summer

In Starke County, a major segment of Indiana’s largest solar panel is scheduled to begin commercial operations this summer.

Doral Renewables hosted a ceremony on Tuesday for “Mammoth North Solar.” The solar project has been in the works since 2019.

At 400 megawatts, it will provide energy to more than 75,000 homes.

“It’s a dream come true. Not just for me but for the whole community,” said Nick Cohen, president and CEO of Doral Renewables. “Everybody in this community got behind this project. We have 75 landowner families in this project and we all worked so hard on it.”
